I’ll guide you through the selling process, from listing your home to closing. Here is a rundown of the steps required to sell your home.

  1. Hire a trusted real estate agent who will look out for your best interest

  2. Discuss a gameplan with your realtor who will help you with estimating your potential sales price, costs and proceeds, prepping the home by decluttering, cleaning, making repairs, or staging

  3. Prepare the house for sale. Setting a timeline for packing, repairs, cleaning, helps give you a target date for listing the house

  4. Consider getting a pre-sale home inspection. Potential buyers will feel more confident with their offer

  5. Remove emotional attachments from the home. The goal is to attract buyers and sell the home for the best price in the shortest amount of time

  6. Declutter and maximize the space

  7. Make minimal repairs. Make a list of these and give your realtor. This list can be attached to the inspection report

  8. Deep clean the home

  9. Take professional photos of the home-turn on all lights and open all window coverings

  10. Completing your selling disclosures is a requirement

  11. Set the best listing price-a realistic price that isn’t too high or too low

  12. Get an updated comparative market analysis from your realtor

  13. Start showing the home to prospective buyers

  14. Set a date for an Open House

  15. Review offers with your realtor

  16. Accept the best offer and start the closing process
